Phil and Barbara Lieberman and Friends Faculty Development Award and Lectureship
Phil Lieberman, MD, FAAAAI, is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine in the Allergy/Immunology Division of the University of Tennessee’s College of Medicine. Lieberman graduated and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee. He completed his Allergy-Immunology fellowship at Northwestern University Medical School. Upon completion of his fellowship he returned to the University of Tennessee and founded the Allergy-Immunology Division in the Department of Medicine. Lieberman was President of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology in 1988.
Dr. and Mrs. Lieberman established their Lectureship in 2014. In 2016, in acknowledgement of his significant contributions to the field and to the Foundation, the AAAAI Foundation named a Faculty Development Award in Dr. Lieberman's honor. It is known as the 2016 AAAAI Foundation & Dr. Philip Lieberman Faculty Development Award.
